Team HARD. Racing are delighted to welcome Brad Thurston into the team for the 2023 season. Thurston will be competing in the British Endurance Championship (BEC) at the wheel of a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car in all seven rounds of the series.

Thurston who is a relative newcomer to motorsport joins the team after spending the 2022 season competing in multiple events with Motus One. These events included the Britcar Trophy and BEC in the TCR class where he claimed multiple podium finishes.

It is yet to be confirmed who Thurston’s driver-partner will be for the 2023 campaign but both the team and driver are looking to secure the class championship against a highly competitive field.

The team last competed with a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car in 2022.

Brad Thurston commented:
“It’s great to be working with Team HARD. Racing and Tony (Gilham) for this year. They are one of the top teams in the country and I’ve always been a fan of their motorsport ladder.

“I’m relatively new to Motorsport compared to most and that’s why it was important for me to race with a team with multiple years of experience and a wealth of driver talent in their ranks. I am looking to learn quickly and develop on the experience that I gained last season.

“The Porsche poses a new challenge for me but one I feel I am ready for. We are planning to get testing later this month and that will allow me to start adapting my driving style so I can tame the beast that is the Porsche 911!”

Tony Gilham, Team Owner of Team HARD. Racing commented:

“A big welcome to Brad. He is a fantastically down-to-earth person and one whom we are already getting on really well with.

“Within our ranks, we have multiple drivers with extensive knowledge of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car and combining that knowledge with Brad’s raw talents will put us in good stead for the upcoming campaign.

“We are here to win and I’m confident that Brad and whoever his teammate will be for 2023 will have a great opportunity to fight at the sharp end throughout the season.
