Team HARD. Racing has today (21 April) regretfully announced that fan favourite and Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship race winner Jack Goff will depart the team and series with immediate effect.

Although Goff was set to compete in his tenth consecutive season in the championship and fifth with the squad in which he made his debut in 2013, due to a change of circumstances, the 2021 season is set to be his last for the foreseeable future.

Jack Goff Team HARD

Goff took his first BTCC podium with the team in 2013.

After finding himself without a seat for the 2019 season, Team Owner Tony Gilham threw Goff a lifeline on the eve of the campaign and the High Wycombe-based racer became an integral part of the team, taking its maiden victory and guiding both the Volkswagen CC and Cupra Leon to multiple top 10 finishes across his three-year stint with the team.

And took the teams first BTCC win in 2019 at Silverstone.

“I’m gutted that at this late stage Jack won’t be returning for our fifth season together,” said Gilham. “He and his family feel like one of our own and he will be sadly missed.

“I’d like to thank Jack for all his hard work over the years, he has been a great asset and ambassador for our team. Our friendship off track will continue and we hope Jack can race one of our cars again someday.”

The team will announce Goff’s replacement imminently. However, due to the circumstances, it has been agreed by TOCA that the team’s fourth Cupra Leon will be stood down for this weekend’s opening rounds at Donington Park – but will compete from the next event at Brands Hatch.
