BOXO Tools to Partner RCIB Insurance Racing

Boxo Professional Tools will partner RCIB Insurance Racing across the team’s multiple discipline attack in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, the British GT Championship, VW Cup and VAG Trophy, with an involvement with ten different cars.

Providing Tony Gilham’s team with high quality tools and tool boxes, the distinctive Rhino logo will be proudly displayed on all of the Team HARD prepared machines, and the equipment has been widely praised by the team’s expert engineers.

Ian Benson who has worked in Formula Three, International GT Racing and BTCC as a Chief Technician is responsible for the No.24 Toyota Avensis of Jake Hill in the team’s BTCC programme, has found the Boxo equipment to be exactly what’s needed.

“We’ve had a couple of occasions already this season where we’ve had to do some pretty frantic work on Jake’s car to get it repaired after it’s been damaged in race one. The tool boxes ensure there’s plenty of room for all our essentials, and helps us keep everything really well organised, which is vital when we’re under time pressure. Everything is really high quality and fantastic to work with”

Boxo’s wide-range of tools that focus on automotive professional’s needs and the storage systems that Ian and his crew have found invaluable, are used by all of the team’s crews in all of the disciplines they race in, team boss Tony Gilham has noticed their impact.

“It’s a great to have an association with a company with a great heritage of 40 years in the industry, but that also have evolved with the demands of the industry so that they provide high-end equipment in the hugely competitive motorsport arena where every detail matters”

Boxo are part of the Serenco family and Vicky Arrowsmith comments on their partnership with RCIB Insurance Racing.

“The level of publicity that BTCC alone generates means that partnering with Tony’s team is a fantastic place to be - we’ve already seen our logo on Jake, Michael and Chris’ cars on ITV4’s BTCC coverage. But to have the exposure in GT’s and the VW series too adds up to a fabulous mix, targeting our customer-base that are often motorsport fans like us. It’s more than just the publicity though, it’s a great way to showcase our products in the very demanding environment that is a race team, and it’s a fun way to spread the word”

GT’s and VW’s are in action at Oulton Park next weekend (28-30th May) with BTCC also at Oulton the following weekend 4-5th June.
